  17 Manhattan Beach luxury homes priced over $2,000,000 sold during October 2014. A Sand Section property, just steps from The Strand, topped the price chart for October by selling for $4,725,000. The property sold for a tad over $1300 a sq. ft. and was located on a 2,698 sq. ft. lot. Manhattan Beach dirt is super expensive especially when it is that close to the sand of The Strand.

Redondo Beach Luxury Home Market Report--June 2014

Redondo Beach is gaining ground on the neighboring Beach Cities of Manhattan and Hermosa in the luxury home department. May 2014 statistics show there are currently seven luxury homes for sale (including condos and townhouses) priced over $2,000,000. Three Redondo Beach luxury homes are in escrow with accepted offers, and one luxury residence, a condo, sold in May. The 3-bedroom condo sold for $2,200,000 and was located on the Esplanade.

Redondo Beach posted no luxury home sales priced over $2,000,000 during the month of March 2014. There are currently six Redondo Beach properties for sale in the luxury price range and one Redondo Beach luxury home in escrow with an accepted offer.

Yesterday was one of those perfect Southern California days with blue skies, sun shining and a gentle coastal wind wafting through the open doors of the new listings we previewed in Redondo Beach. First, there was a $2,299,000 townhouse on the Esplanade with a small, but inviting backyard. However, the showstopper attraction was the blue Pacific Ocean view from the main rooms of the house. The newer construction interiors were geared to beach living with hardwood floors and balconies to enjoy the coastal lifestyle.

The next Redondo Beach property was a couple blocks back from the ocean on Catalina Avenue, but the price was very enticing at $1,275,000 for newer construction, three bedrooms plus an offer, and within an easy stroll of the water. The tri-level home included a private yard and two-car garage.

Next we moved on to Hermosa Beach's Manhattan Avenue to view a townhouse with ocean view from the top floor's ample balcony. Priced at $1,569,500 and located near the heart of Hermosa's shopping and dining district the view townhouse offered style, view, location and four bedrooms.
